Mechanical Engineering Administrator from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in 1967, and MBA from Stanford University in 1969.
From 1969 to 1981 he worked for Adela Investments, a firm specializing in Private Equity and Venture Capital investments in Latin America and the Caribbean.
He founded Fausto Garcia Asociados in 1981, and his experience includes the activities of mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and setting up financial operations for businesses in diverse sectors.
Public Accountant from Universidad Panamericana in 1995, MBA from IPADE in 1997, specialization in international finance at IPADE in 2000, and M&A course at the New York Institute of Finance, in 2000.
His experience includes the structuring and assembly of M&A operations, financial restructuring, private equity, and fairness opinions in diverse sectors, such as real estate, telecommunications, financial sector, pawnshops, paper, cardboard, food & beverage, among others.
He joined FGA in 1993. His previous experience includes Seguros Allianz and an auditing firm.
BBA from ITAM and a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the same institution.
He has more than 10 years of experience in Investment Banking participating and leading equity and debt raising, M&A, and Investment Banking operations for Mid-Market companies in Mexico. He has been involved in transactions in various industries such as automotive, education, telecommunications, infrastructure, agribusiness, food, financial services, among others.
He has performed more than 100 fairness opinions and has participated as expert witness in arbitrages in the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes of the World Bank. Prior to FGA, he was a partner in Emerge Investment Banking and collaborated with PwC Mexico, E&Y Mexico, and Angel Ventures Mexico.
ALFONSO GONZÁLEZ MIGOYA
He was the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Industrial Saltillo, S.A.B. de C.V., and worked for 10 years as Corporate Director of Grupo ALFA. Previously, he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Finance and Administration at Grupo Financiero Bancomer.
He collaborated for 24 years with Grupo CYDSA, occupying among other positions, those of Corporate Director of Finance and General Director of the Chemical Division. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several companies, including Coca-Cola Femsa (KOF), Femsa (FEMSA), Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV), Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GISSA), Banco Regional de Monterrey (Banregio), Berel, and Universidad de Monterrey.
He graduated from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey with a degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1996, and an MBA from Stanford University in 1969. He also attended the Senior Management Program at IPADE.
President of the Mexican Council of International Affairs (Comexi) for the last seven years. Since February 2007, he has been Executive President of the Mexican Council of the Consumer Products Industry, A.C. (CONMEXICO), an association that groups 44 of the most important companies of high rotation consumer goods.
As a public official, he served, among other positions, as Economist at the Economic Research Department of Mexico Central Bank (Banxico, 1984 to 1985), Member of the Committee of Economic Advisors of the Presidency of the Republic (1985 to 1988), Deputy Chief Negotiator of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA, 1990-1994), Undersecretary of International Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade and Industrial Development (1994-1998), Mexican Ambassador to the European Union (EU) and Chief Negotiator of the NAFTA between Mexico and the EU (1998 to 2001).
Since 2005, he has been Vice President and founding partner of IQOM Inteligencia Comercial, a company specialized in the electronic provision of strategic information on foreign trade.
FRANCISCO XAVIER CASANUEVA
Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Iberoamericana and Master in Business Administration from IPADE. He has postgraduate studies in Insurance and Bail Bonds at the Center for Research and Postgraduate studies of the Instituto Autónomo de México (ITAM), as well a Diploma in Administration in Strategic Sales from the University of California. He has 22 years of experience in Interprotection, one of the main insurance and bong intermediary companies.
He has had the responsibilities of the Sales Management of Red Médica, Deputy Manager of Benefits and Bail Bonds and Deputy Management of Administration and Finance. He is currently partner and General Director of the Company. He is also responsible for the insurance and surety brokerage operation of the companies Grupo CP and member of the compensation Committee of Kio Networks. He belongs and participates in the Mexican Association of Insurance Agents and Bail Bonds (AMASFAC) as its National President in the Confederación Panamericana de Productos de Seguros (COPAPROSE).He is an active member of the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropia (Cemefi), of the Consejo Mexicano de Comercio Exterior.
JOSÉ MARÍA GONZÁLEZ LORDA
He is a Mechanical Engineer Administrator from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. He began his professional career at Procter & Gamble Mexico, occupying various positions in the areas of industrial engineering and project management as well as manufacturing, sales, and marketing. He was General Manager of Mennen Mexico; General Director of Black & Decker Mexico and President for Latin America of the same company. He was President of the National Association of Domestic Appliance Manufacturers and participated actively during the negotiation of the FTA.
In 1995 he founded JMG Dasein S.A. de C.V., a company focused on optimizing companies. As an entrepreneur, he has participated in various projects such as the acquisition and development of Exim del Caribe (Food Service) and the creation of Directo Hispanic Promotions in the United States. He is currently a Board Member and participates in Committees of HSBC Seguros y Pensiones, HSBC Operadora de Fondos, Rotoplas S.A. de C.V., and Member of the Technical Committee of IGS (CKD’s).
ALEJANDRO SEPÚLVEDA DE LA FUENTE
Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Mexico and Master of Laws from Columbia University. Former partner of Baker & McKenzie Mexico, where he collaborated from 1995 to 2019, in the Real Estate and Infrastructure Practice Group in Mexico, focusing mainly on real estate and infrastructure financing projects, design of corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, as well as energy and tourism projects.
During his career, he has advised on public offerings and participated in the negotiation and execution of complex transactional agreements in corporate matters.
During the last years, Markus was in charge of Strategy, Marketing, and Innovation in Holcim Mexico. Previously, he was in charge of the Corporate Strategy of the Group for five years, where he developed a global strategy, including the evaluation of new investments, divestments, and changes in the business model of Holcim Group.
He was part of the negotiation team for the USD 40 billion merger with Lafarge, including securing the approval of the various competition authorities, especially the European Commission and MOFCOM (China). Once the merger was made public, Markus also led the team in defining the Strategic Vision for the new company.
Prior to Holcim, he was a partner at FGA where he advised on several M&A transactions. Prior to FGA, he managed operations for Anfora, a porcelain manufacturer in Mexico of around 1,000 employees. He graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in Industrial Engineering and received an MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
José Antonio has a long career in the banking industry, spanning several decades since the mid-1980s.
He spent 14 years of his career in New York City working for large companies as an investment banker dedicated to corporate clients in Latin America.
From 2006 to 2010, he was CEO and President of Barclays Capital in Mexico City, and subsequently led the Corporate and Investment Banking business for Citibanamex, and until recently for Santander Mexico.
He is a member of the advisory board of FGA Asociados, and a member of the board of TuIdentidad, a new security technology company in Mexico City. He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He is fluent in English and Portuguese.
